I’m Andrea and I am the owner of AJR Dance Studio. I was born in Auckland and moved to Te Kauwhata when I was 6. So majority of my life I have either lived in Te Kauwhata or the surrounding areas. I am a mother of 5 children aged 16, 15, 11, 6 & 2. 

 

I started dancing when I was 4 in Papakura and then eventually started dancing again when we moved to Te Kauwhata, I continued dancing up until the age of 13 on and off over the years. I have always had a passion for children and especially growing their confidence and that is why I wanted to start something for our local community. I am always in awe of how well each and every student performs and how hard they all work.

 

We first opened in 2021 with only around 40 students. We now have over 120 students dancing at our studio and we keep growing. I feel so privileged so to be able to give our community and the surrounding communities something for their children to participate in.
