Kia ora! My name is Naresha, and I come from Waikato and Whiitii (Fiji). I started Hip Hop dancing at nine years old, and it has been a huge part of my life ever since.

 

Growing up in a small town, I never imagined that dance would take me overseas, but it did—alongside my sister. Our first big trip was in 2017 when we performed at Disneyland California. Then, in 2019, we competed at Dancers Paradise in Cancun, Mexico. During the week, I worked full-time, dedicating my weekends to dance and fitness training. The journey was challenging but incredibly rewarding, and I’ll always be grateful to those who made it possible.

 

For some, dance is just a hobby—but for me, it’s so much more.
