Our terms and Conditions

By signing up with AJRdance, you agree to the following:

T's and C's

  • All invoices will be emailed prior to the term starting
  • To secure your child/children’splace in their dance group, a $25 deposit needs to be paid the week of receiving your invoice. The remainder of your invoice will need to be paid by the due date
  • All invoices need to be paid by the due date (unless a payment plan has been arranged prior)
  • If your invoice is not paid by the due date, your child/children will lose their place in their class.
  • Families with two or more children (or if your child/children are enrolled in more than one class) will receive a 10% discount
  • There will be a costume fee if you wish for your child/children to participate in our shows or any events.
  • All payments need to be paid either by bank transfer into the AJRDance Studio account, or via online payment using this website. We cannot accept cash payments.
  • If classes are cancelled for any reason, your fees for that term still remain & other alternate measures will be made for classes.
  • If you register your child/children after 3 weeks of classes are held then there will be a discount. However, if you register within the first 3 weeks you will be charged the full term price
  • AJRDance Studio is not liable to provide refunds for term classes or costume fees.
  • Payment plans are available and you need to sign the form provided. 
  • ALL STUDENTS NEED TO GIVE TWO WEEKS NOTICE IF THEY NO LONGER WISH TO PARTICIPATE IN AJR DANCE STUDIO CLASSES.

  • INVOICES MUST BE PAID IN FULL PRIOR TO CANCELLATION OR YOU MAY INCUR A PENALTY FEE. THIS IS IF YOUR DATE FOR LEAVING IS AFTER THE DUE DATE DATE FOR PAYMENT.

  • IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON GOING AWAY OR TAKING A BREAK FROM OUR DANCE CLASSES, YOU WILL NEED TO ALSO GIVE US AT LEAST ONE WEEKS NOTICE AND YOUR INVOICE MUST BE PAID IN FULL.

Rules to abide by when attending a class:
  • No food or drink allowed in the hall except water.
  • Ensure your child has a water bottle.
  • We expect all children to be respectful to their tutor.
  • All children will be given warnings for disruptive behavior.
  • If your child/ren’s behaviour does not improve they may be asked to leave.
  • All cellphones are to be switched off or on silent while class is in session
  • No other children are to be in the hall while classes are on.
  • Do not enter the hall until the class before you has left.
  • All parents are to wait outside while classes are in session.
  • Keep all noise to a minimum so the children can concentrate.
  • No yelling, swearing or unsuitable behaviour will be tolerated.
  • All children need to wear the correct uniform for classes.
  • All children need to be on time to class.
  • All children need to be collected from their class on time.
  • No video or photos to be taken. Please respect the privacy of the other children and families.
  • If you are unsure of anything, please just ask.
Show(s) agreement

To be able to participate in any of our shows that are held during the year, your child/children, or you (adult class) need to be able to commit to ALL of the following:

  • You must attend all classes leading up to the show.
  • You must attend any additional trainings.
  • All additional trainings will incur a fee & you will be invoiced for these.
  • You must attend the dress rehearsal.
  • Your fees must be paid or a regular payment plan in place.
  • You must pay for your costume fee.
  • You need to make sure you have all the correct clothing attire.
  • All parent helpers need to be available for both the rehearsal & show.
  • Parent to child ratio will depend on the classes.
  • All communication for any shows will be done through this website, emails or the BANDapp.

Failure to commit to the above will result in you and/or your child(ren) not participating in the shows.

Ballet and Jazz Exam(s)
  • For all those that are wanting to sit the examinations you need to send through an email confirmation for this.
  • Each class will learn what is expected in the exam even if your child is not sitting the exam.
  • All students who attend the exam will be prepared for these with a mock exam.
  • Examinations are usually sat in September however this can change depending on the examiners.
  • The cost of sitting the exam is dependent on the age of the child. The fee varies from $100-$200, and is in addition to the normal dance fees.
  • There is a uniform criteria to sit the exam so you will need to purchase addtional clothing.

Please note these cost(s) should be used as a guide and are subject to change depending on supplier availability

Ballet

  1. Ballet leotard & skirt $40
  2. Ballet Cardigan(black) $45
  3. Stockings $15
  4. Ballet shoes $45 (compulsory)

Hip hop

  1. Class t-shirt $45 (compulsory)
  2. Plain white shoes
  3. Black shorts/pants

If you wish to purchase any items, please fill out our uniform order form pinned at the top of our Facebook page.

All Ballet/Jazz students are more than welcome to source their own items.

Correct uniform & shoes need to worn in class.

Uniform orders are placed at the end of each month. We only do one order a month.

Once you have placed an order you will be sent an invoice, your uniform order will not be ordered until full payment has been made.

We DO NOT have a payment plan for uniforms.

Images and Videos
  • From time to time we may take digital photo(s) and video(s) that may include current and past dancers who have enrolled with AJRDance. You agree to allow us unlimited use of these digital files for marketing or otherwise (such as for this website, printed flyers and/or advertisements). Should you object to the use of any images/videos for such purposes, please contact us. Please note that the removal or alteration of any already published media is not guaranteed.
